3G mobile are very new technology in India. In 2006 in a tech show in some foreign mobile manufacturer launched 3G enable mobile hand set for Indian cell phone users. But due to the luck of infrastructure facility this phone are practically not useable in India. Common people understand the technology as one of the most entertainer phone technology as it enable a mobile user to watch his favorite satellite TV show on mobile hand set. here 3 means third and G means generation. Are we in 2G or second generation? Haha 
The difficulty in using the third generation mobile technology in India is the permission of the department of telecommunication. Never forget we are talking about one of the biggest telecom customers’ pool of the world. Living in India without sharing third generation spectrum is amazing like India. With the help if 3G technology a mobile hand set will transform in to TV reviver. Video and image sharing is faster in 3G that ordinary MMS and GPRS facility.
